Sunflower Asset Management (SAM), founded in 1984, is a fee-only money management firm operating as an investment fiduciary. This means we are required by law to always put our clients’ interests first. This is a more rigorous legal standard than the “suitability” standard under which commission-compensated brokers operate. This is an important distinction and a considerable competitive advantage in favor of SAM. SAM receives no commission compensation. Our sole source of compensation is our fully disclosed fee, usually 1% annually.

SAM’s expertise is the management of assets for individuals and businesses. We consider ourselves advocates for our clients. We do this by deciphering Wall Street jargon and sales pitches thru an educational approach. Some of the services offered include confidential portfolio reviews; insurance capital needs analysis and evaluations; monitored investment management; and financial planning.
