Philosophy - Company Profile

SAM is an investment advisory firm registered with the State of Kansas. Its expertise is in fee-only money management for individuals and qualified retirement plans in accordance with the stated written goals of each of its clients.

Philosophy
It is a fundamental policy of the firm to get to know each client personally, as opposed to the totally impersonal nature of mutual fund managers.

Because the need to earn commissions is not a factor, Sunflower's impartial investment recommendations are a second advantage to its clients. Suggested vehicles may include, but are not limited to, U.S. Treasury certificates, zero coupon bonds, bank certificates of deposit, corporate and municipal bonds, common stocks, closed-end mutual funds, and no-load open-end mutual funds, no-load open-end mutual funds, and exchange traded funds (ETF's).

The objective assessment of each client's tolerance for risk is a third strength of Sunflower. Client profiles filled in by the client provide the data essential to this determination.

Successful investing is a full-time job that is best performed by professionals who can be unemotional in their decision making. The financial advisors at Sunflower are independent, experienced professionals who believe that above-average investment results can be achieved by a disciplined, objective approach, with the specific goals of the client in mind.

Finally, Sunflower realizes that every dollar spent on stock trades, custodial fees, asset management, and sales charges reduces the amount of the investment capital. Our reasonable fee structure makes the total cost of employing SAM comparable and even lower than "no-load" mutual funds. It is to SAM's advantage, as well as the clients', to minimize the transaction costs and expenses.
